☕ CLAUS'S TAKE (One opinion. One lesson. One action.)
Is Shopify Enough?
Most small brands make the same mistake: They build a beautiful Shopify store... then wait for customers to show up.
That's not a growth strategy.
Here's what works: Treat Shopify as your headquarters, not your only storefront.
Your customers don't wake up thinking, "I should visit that brand's website today." They're already shopping on Amazon, TikTok Shop, Facebook Marketplace, Etsy, Google Shopping, and other marketplaces.
Go where the buyers already are.
The brands I see winning aren't choosing between Shopify and marketplaces. They're using both.
Think of it like this:
Shopify gives you control, higher margins, and customer data.
Amazon gives you massive buying intent.
TikTok Shop turns videos into impulse purchases.
Facebook Marketplace helps you reach local buyers.
Google Shopping captures people ready to buy.
Every channel reaches a different customer.
Don't try to launch everywhere at once. That's how merchants get overwhelmed.
Instead:
Master Shopify first.
Add one marketplace that fits your products.
List your top 10 best sellers before uploading your entire catalog.
Use the same inventory across every channel to avoid overselling.
Track profit by channel, not just revenue. The biggest sales channel isn't always the most profitable.
The goal isn't to replace Shopify.
The goal is to create multiple paths that lead customers back to your brand.
The more places shoppers can discover you, the fewer opportunities you miss.
Your move: Choose one new sales channel this month. Launch your best sellers. Measure the results for 90 days. If it works, keep it. Then repeat.
Question: Are you selling on more than one sales channel today?
Hit reply with YES or NO. I read every response.

See you Thursday.
