🎙️ ECOMMERCE COFFEE BREAK PODCAST

Email Marketing That Actually Sells

Want more sales without spending more on ads?

I pulled together my best podcast episodes on email marketing for Shopify stores and DTC brands—covering list growth, automation, segmentation, deliverability, retention, and more.

Why it matters: Email is still one of the highest ROI channels in ecommerce. The brands that win don’t send more emails by accident—they build better email systems.

Your move: Pick one episode today and implement one idea before your next campaign.

☕ CLAUS'S TAKE (One opinion. One lesson. One action.)

You're Not Emailing Enough. Period.

Email still delivers one of the highest ROIs in marketing. Yet most brands send too few emails - not too many.

If you're only showing up when you have a sale, you're teaching customers to wait for discounts... or forget you exist.

Reality check:

1-2 emails a month = out of sight, out of mind.
1-3 emails a week = stay relevant and build trust.
The best brands don't just sell. They educate, entertain, and help.

Here's what works:

  • Share customer success stories.

  • Answer questions before they're asked.

  • Show products solving real problems.

  • Take customers behind the scenes.

  • Mix value with offers.

Here's what doesn't: Waiting for the "perfect" campaign. While you're hesitating, your competitors are building relationships in your customers' inboxes.

My take: The problem isn't email frequency. It's boring emails. If every message has a purpose, your subscribers will keep opening them.

Your move: For the next 30 days, double your email cadence. Then measure revenue, clicks, and unsubscribes. Let the data tell you what works.

Question: Do you think you're leaving money on the table by emailing your customers too little? Hit reply with YES or NO. I read every response.
