🔥 SHOPIFY IS SHUTTING DOWN LINKPOP

Shopify has confirmed that its free “link in bio” tool, Linkpop, will retire on July 7, 2025. The notice ends sign-ups immediately and freezes all existing pages after the cutoff, though they will remain viewable. Here’s what you need to know:

What’s happening

After July 7 you can’t create, edit, or re-brand Linkpop pages. Sign-ups are already closed.

Why the change

Shopify is consolidating social-selling features into Online Store 2.0 sections and encouraging merchants to use third-party bio-link apps instead.

Immediate tasks

Export your Linkpop URLs, media, and analytics; update social profiles; and swap any printed QR codes before they break.

Recommended alternatives

Shopify’s App Store lists Linktree, Campsite, Koji, Beacons, and other “link in bio” tools with native checkout blocks. Trial one now so the transition stays painless.

Checkout continuity

If you relied on Linkpop’s embedded Shopify checkout, recreate the same product tiles inside your new bio link or directly in your theme’s “Link List” section to preserve conversion speed.

Final reminder

Shopify will delete all editing capabilities at 00:00 UTC on July 7, plan migrations ahead to avoid broken links and sales. [Continue Reading…. ]
